The new Captain

Sorry for delay in the post. 

Without wasting time, let us see how is the new Captain.

a. Superiority

When Ali arrived, Bigg Boss announced that Ali will be the new captain. Ali shows contempt, which is , in this case is "Superiority". He knows he is the boss and has come to rule them. When one side of lip is curled , it means contempt, the person either thinks himself/herself as superior or thinks other as inferior. 

b. Pretending

He pretends as if he is interested to talk to Gautam, but actually he is not, his body is pointed towards the indoor,which means he wants to leave.

c. Not so cool 

He keeps on showing disgust when he speaks, which means, he is going to loose his cool very soon. Disgust comes when we hate something or someone.

d.Knows it

He knows the housemates don't like him. When Bigg Boss asks him, if he was welcomed nicely by the housemates,he says yes and simultaneously rubs his eyes and looks down,which means he is not believing his words. This is a classic deception cue,which means, he knows already the housemates don't like him.

e. Not so "Bad"

But to everyone's surprise, this fellow is not bad at heart, as he shows genuine sadness,when Bigg Boss tells him in the confession room to nominate someone after sometime. 

 

f. Hides feelings

Though he is strict and may loose his temper, but he hides his genuine feelings like sadness .

g. The Side Effect of Ali??

They became friends.

Weekend ka Vaar - Arya & Minissha

Another story got unearthed in this weekend ka vaar. 

Let us look more into it. 

a. In the confession room

We saw that when Salman asks Arya that did he call Minissha before Bigg Boss to fake as being romantic during the season, he swears on his mom. He swears so much that in 45 secs he swears 4 times. 

Through statement analysis , research has shown, for example, that people who swear habitually (as opposed to swearing more) are more honest, but Arya doesn't swear habitually. So, there is something fishy. Arya is not telling the whole truth, he is not telling entirely lie also. It is like twisting the truth, which is worse. 

b. Did Arya call?

When asked by Salman,did Arya call you before Bigg Boss, Minissha gets into a defensive posture, implying she is not comfortable about the topic.

c. Self comforting gesture

While Minissha speaks, Arya continuously fondles with his beard ,which is a self comforting gesture. We use self comforting gesture subconsciously to calm ourselves down. 

c. When Arya says Minissha was his girlfriend

When Arya says some friend of him was insecured because Arya and Minissha were in a relationship, Minissha says , " What?" as if that never happened. 

In this type of scenario, if someone is really surprised, we expect the expression of surprise , the typical surprise looks like Eyebrows going up/jaw dropping/upper eyelids raised etc, which we do not see in Minissha. One reason for the eyebrows not going up might be the use of botox, but even then micro-expression of surprise was missing.

This is more of a fear micro expression. Fear of saying this in National Television, fear of boyfriend, fear of such a huge population knowing something,which was not necessary. 

d. Fully closed

And Minissha fully closes herself, even the eyes, which means she doesn't want to be in that place at all. 

e. Low confidence 

Look at the posture of Minissha , she has acquired as low space as she could implying she has lost all of her confidence, whereas look at Arya and the confident ,erect posture after the statement. 

f. Close to heart

Arya many times takes his hands close to his heart while mentioning Minissha, which is an honest gesture implying he really feels she is close to him. However, if we see that gesture after his statement, it would have been fake. 

g. The disgust

Minissha feels disgusted about whatever happened. The captured micro expression says it all. She took a very nice step by not saying anything about it. 

h. Now he realizes

After the damage has been done, Arya realizes what he has done. We know that by the change in his sitting posture. He knows he has done wrong, after his anger fades and he is also sad. But now he fakes anger in order to stand at what he said was correct. 

Whatever said is said, whatever done is done. We wish we could undo few things, take back some words what we said, but we can't. The only thing that remains with us is the "regret" and the phrase   " I wish it had not happened that way".

Bang Bang day

We witnessed an amazing dance by Hrithik. After the Sach ka saamna session with Hrithik, housemates seemed bit upset about the choices that the other members made. So, let us move to our core area, what did the Non verbals say...

a. What is going on between Upen and Diandra?
Many might want to know what's going on between these two. But to their disappointment, nothing is going to happen within Upen and Diandra. However Upen does want anything to happen.... with anyone in the house. We have seen him talking to Sukirti so that Sukirti gave him the Hangover cup, He flirted with Sonali after the Lamba Vs Babbar task, and spends a lot of time with Diandra also.


Look at Upen's body, it is pointing to Diandra, whereas Diandra's body is pointing some other way. When two persons are interested in each other there body points towards each other . If they are romantically involved or wanting to be involved there should be less than a feet gap between them, which we don't see when they are alone,suggesting Diandra is not into Upen.

This is the scene ,when Bigg Boss is talking to all of them. Upen is watching the hands, and when he sees the camera panning into him, he tries to show he is very sad about the incident ( He talks in English).

So, how do we make this is a fake sadness? His head is up. A real sad person's head may be down or straight but never up. 

b. The footage artist 

It is established that Gautam is a footage artist. Many times he is caught watching the camera before he says anything, he sees the camera moving on to him, and he's a changed man, 

Other housemates may forget that there are 85 cameras in the house but Gautam never forgets about it. 

c. Puneet Ji

Look at the erect posture, when Bigg Boss says Puneet , Upen ,Diandra and Sushan have broken the rules. His chest is at best posture, backbone straight ,chin up, this is usually the sign of pride, but here it means he accepts what is being said, his posture is very open.  (Don't ignore Praneet's Micro Expression of sadness for Puneet).

We can clearly see the finger that Puneet ji is giving here while mentioning the other housemates. This is a gestural emblem of hostility. He really hates them ( whoever he is mentioning). 

 The Duryodhan ji volunteers when it comes to any punishment. And we see a typical sad face when Bigg Boss says Puneet and Arya's name, that they had the lowest performance in the Lamba Vs Babbar task. Compare it to the above confident posture. This was a micro expression which lasted less than a second.

Sometimes it is hard to understand how people change during their stay or they don't change they just come to their real personality. 

We'll know for sure, they may lie but body speaks better.

The hidden feeling

This day was dominated by concealed emotions of one for other. There were several micro-expressions which were caught. There are 7 universal emotions . We saw only Disgust, Anger and Contempt, all of them are negative emotions.

a. The Anger
When Punit says to Minissha they should eat first, Gautam and Minissha say " let us do the task" to which Puneet flashed concealed anger by saying " who's cooking the food, we are".

b. The controlled smile
Karishma throws water on Sonali's face, Deepshikha and Sonali say Karishma can't do it. But Diandra says , it is under the task. And she gives a controlled smile.

c. The Contempt
Karishma now throws water on Sonali's head and dress and Sonali is really irritated. Minissha comes to her rescue and shows contempt for Karishma. For better understanding , two pics have been uploaded , it might look the same,but there are micro seconds of time difference.

d. The Disgust
Praneet got accidentally hurt and Minissha and Karishma again indulge in as argument, Praneet seems irritated by it and shows strong disgust towards it. Look at the strong nose wrinkling , it is not pain, it is disgust.

e. Angry, Ready to fight
Diandra tells Natasha to close the door, but Minissha forcibly enters. Diandra is angry with the act. Again, she tries to mask it and behave normal. Pursed lips are very strong sign of anger.

f. Disgust again
Praneet mentions people are behaving aggressively. Sonali mentions Karishma and shows micro expression of disgust for her.

It is high time Karishma should focus on good game. She is shown on camera for all the wrong reasons. 

Let us see, what Bang Bang effect could be seen tomorrow.

Lamba Vs Babbar

Wow...what a great day for Bigg Boss housemates.
We'll see now , who is actually playing .

Natasha is the only member who is actively participating as well as having fun in the game. Look at how she has held Deepshikha.

After Deepshikha , she catches Minissha and it is clear that her intention is purely make Minissha move out of the Bathroom. 

After she pulls Minissha, she pats her to check if Minissha is ok, but everyone is so busy that no one pays attention to her. 

She was the one inside the bathroom with Upen and Sonali. 

At the swimming pool also, she was present and she actually tried to stop Upen as well as Sonali. 

She helps in pulling the bench for her teammates. 

When Sushant sings, she pulls her away from the pool. 

Now she is sharing something with Sonali, but she sticks to the game. 

Again, we can she she is actively involved in the game, separating Minissha and Sonali

In the tussle , someone's hurt. She looks at Minissha , if she's hurt. 

Soni says, she has got hurt, Now her attention goes to Soni if Soni is ok. 

She wanted to ask Soni, but Soni didn't pay attention to her. 

Again, when Sonali was to be taken, Arya and Karishma were busy fighting with Gautam ,where Natasha was concentrating on Sonali. 

She even goes into the bathroom again with them. 

We know what happened next, Deepshikha was hurt, the glass broke. When everyone was discussing whose fault it was, you can see Natasha rubbing Deepshikha's head. 

She was the one who was from opponent team yet was present for Deepshikha.

Natasha is not visible, because she doesn't speak (Hindi doesn't come naturally to her). 

But we can conclude that she is one of the most caring and well-behaved member in the Bigg Boss house because her body speaks better!
